The first part of our charity auction in aid of Homeless Veterans may have now closed but never fear: Part 2 is on its way.

In Part 1, travel and art led the way and there will more of the same when the next set of lots is released at 2pm this Friday, 12 December, with trips to Mons in Belgium and Lucerne in Switzerland among the experiences on offer.

Art lovers may be interested in a sketch by former official British Army war artist, Ken Howard, made in preparation for an oil that now hangs in the National Army Museum. A Dave Brown original, a stunning, limited edition photograph of Battersea Power Station during its industrial heyday and a personalised front page of the Independent or i newspaper are also up for grabs.

In keeping with the focus of our Homeless Veterans campaign, several lots have a military theme. For example, there will be a chance to bid for a rare example of the SAS Diary, collated by a former member of the regiment in the aftermath of World War II but only published – in a limited run of just 5,000 – in 2011. Readers can also bid for a private tour of the Guards Museum and the opportunity to spend an exciting day with the Honourable Artillery Company, as they fire a Gun Salute at the Tower of London.

Trips to Wembley to watch England’s footballers with Sam Wallace and to Loftus Road, as a guest of the QPR in the Community Trust, are two eye-catching sporting packages.

Budding chefs have the chance to bid for a day at top London eatery, Merchants Tavern, with Angela Hartnett and Neil Borthwick.

These lots and others will go live on eBay at 2pm on 12 December and the auction will run over an extended ten day period, closing at 2pm on Monday 22 December. Full details about all lots will be available at homelessveterans.co.uk.
